Whānau Ora: Justin's fundraiser

Mum also shared that they organise a Cancer fundraising event in their community every year. Seeing an opportunity to provide assistance beyond Covid support, our outreach coordinator organised a koha of kid’s fishing rods and t-shirts for Justin’s fundraiser.

Recently, the thankful family reached out to our outreach coordinator and organised a lunch catch up. They talked about the positive impact of the prizes to Justin and the community, and shared their gratitude for the support and assistance we’ve provided.

It was truly inspiring to see how just by listening and showing empathy, our teams are able to make a meaningful impact in the lives of disabled people and their families. We're pleased to have been able to play a small part in helping Justin and his family.
